(aka 3S) will exhibit new MEMS microphone technology at COMPUTEX 2023, including MEMS microphones with Anti-UV and Anti-RF for hearing aids, and smart MEMS microphones integrated with offline speech recognition technology. Demonstrations of various MEMS microphones and core features and capabilities thereof will also be provided at our booth.

l  Anti-UV and Anti-RF MEMS microphone series for hearing aids

The market for hearing aids continues to grow, driven by aging populations, increase of hearing loss and the new regulation of over the counter (OTC) hearing aids. To address the limitation of the product size, the battery life and the susceptibility to external interference, 3S has developed MEMS microphones with UV and RF resistance, which is a key component that determines the quality, for this special application.

l  Smart MEMS Microphone

Smart MEMS microphone is a hybrid analog and digital design for sensing, storage, and computing, and consists of  a high SNR and AOP microphone, and  a built-in high-efficiency NPU (neural processing unit) for human voice signal monitoring, which  can continuously work with low power consumption in standby mode, and return to sleep mode after keyword search is completed. Smart MEMS microphone is a System-In-Package device and contains three chips enclosed ina standard MEMS microphone package. It is a highly competitive solution in the market, and the cost is much lower than chips with the same computing power IC.

Smart applications include various voice interactive smart devices, such as smart appliances, lighting, mobile phones, wearable devices(smart watches, TWS headsets, ANC headsets, AR/VR glasses)……and so on. Such smart devices could be controlled by offline voice for appliances switching, volume/wind speed/level control, and music switching which can be faster and more convenient. It provides different options and experiences for voice control of the human-computer interaction functions and improves online speech recognition completely dependent on cloud computing and slow response situation.
